As a Keene and Upper Valley lifestyle newborn photographer, I adore newborn portrait sessions. I used to do super posed newborn portraiture in my studio, but when COVID hit and I could no longer use my studio, I started traveling to people’s homes (like I used to do way back in the beginning of my career) and photographing there. It’s been a wonderful transition back. New parents don’t have to travel. They can be in the comfort of their own own home and I will simply come to them. Plus, I’ve taken the pressure of “posing” the baby, off. If the baby sleeps, then we get some sleepy images and if not, not. Usually we get a sleepy image or two anyway. And this way, the images are more authentic! It’s a snapshot in time for my clients and their newly expanding families that they get to keep forever. I try to include all the family members (and that includes your pets) into the photographs so we can get a true story captured.
