As a portrait photographer here in the Upper Valley of NH and VT and also down in Keene,  I was delighted to be a part of the Keene Art Walk in downtown Keene with my “Ophelia” images. I was situated at Soul Emporium which is such cool little shop.

This is a shoot I call “Ophelia” from June 2019, where I photographed another photographer local to the Upper Valley, named Jen McKenna. I really love using elements from the natural world in my dreamy portraiture.  The fleeting and temporary nature of these elements really resonates with me.  I am also inspired by early children’s book illustrations as well as moody chiaroscuro light. In some of the images, I incorporated a digital mixed media approach, where I layered other images of flowers and foliage that I have taken to give them a multi-exposure look.

I am enjoying fine art portraiture more and more and am incorporating surrealism into my work.
