As an Upper Valley photographer here in NH, I really enjoy photographing high school seniors. Really, any single-subject portraiture is my favorite. What I really love about senior portraits, is the the folks I am photographing are on the cusp between childhood and the beginning of the rest of their lives. It’s truly a magical time. As an Upper Valley family photographer, I am super amped about the weather getting warmer for these lush, light-filled family photo sessions. This one was right in Hanover, NH here. I love the dreamy dandelions and goldenrod here and the innocence and wonder of childhood. Being a family and child photographer here in New Hampshire brings me great joy. I am looking forward to the 2023 photo season here in the Upper Valley!
As a portrait photographer here in the Upper Valley, I love all kinds of fine art expression, especially with respect to layering in Photoshop creating digital mixed media pieces, as well as watercolor and acrylic painting and drawing as well. Being part of the AVA Gallery art community here in Lebanon, NH is such a blessing and a gift. A couple of my abstract botanical paintings sold at the AVA Gallery, which I am pleased to share. Drawing and painting are passions of mine as well as photography and Photoshop wonderment. See below for the paintings and the exhibits. I hope they are bringing joy to people’s homes or work spaces.

As an Upper Valley of NH and VT photographer, I am always looking for interesting places to do portrait photography. I love how the seasons change the landscapes so rapidly here in the Upper Valley and in New Hampshire. I noticed that there was a beautiful flowering tree in Hartland, VT that I absolutely needed to photograph with some portraits. I was feeling inspired, also, by some dresses that I had and got this “dollhouse” sensibility to my approach to this session. Enjoy these fine art portraits from that day.
As a NH fine art photographer, I created this deeply personal body of work called Terminal, I am reflecting on my mother’s death in 2015 at the age of 63, 30 days after her pancreatic cancer diagnosis. At times, I am still unexpectedly gripped by some of these emotions. These digital multimedia portrait pieces explore my own bereavement. The process is not linear, and the Kubler-Ross model of the Five Stages of Grief does not have a prescribed beginning and end, so the images follow no particular order.

As a Keene NH and Upper Valley photographer, I am super amped to have another Keene Art Walk under my belt. My first was in 2012.
Artist Statement: In these large portraits and digital photographic collages, I combine a love of portraiture, a growing fascination with botany, reverence for the feminine, the cyclical nature of the seasons, the concept of impermanence, surrealism, and dreaminess. Increasingly fascinated by the Wheel of the Year and annual natural rhythms, I incorporate elements from nature into my photographic works. The temporary (and ephemeral) nature of things resonates deeply with me. For example, my costumes are usually assembled the day-of the shoot and models need to be flexible around changing weather conditions and optimal locations in terms of blooms. I enjoy working with fleeting elements in my images. In my digital photo collages, I layer photographs I have taken in nature over my portraits and dive deep in Photoshop working with layers, colors, textures and to create a finished image.

Being a photographer here in the Upper Valley, I always have my eyes peeled for cool locations. Sometimes they are in the unlikeliest places. I happened past the Marriott here in Lebanon, NH and saw these luscious azalea bushes out front. It was only May 1st and things were starting to bloom here in New Hampshire. So I was really excited when I saw these beauties. I asked the front desk if I could photograph there and I got some really magical images. I would love to take photos of you or your loved ones amongst some blooms. I have some costumes in my prop closet and would love to style something dreamy and magical.
